...but thought I'd post it anyway. It's the front of a new cafetiere cosy, but I've just run out of thread so had to stop. I do love machine embroidery, just not very good at it yet! Anyway, its a cold old afternoon, and I've got two biscuits and a cup of tea, so I ain't complaining. Am currently listening to Ray Conniff's version of Volare on Spotify - fab!
looks great so far! I love your cafetier cosies too, I don't drink hot drinks at all though! Your style is lovely x
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping over to my blog I love your new cosies, wow and you have written a book thats going straight on my wish list :-)
ReplyDeleteYour machine embroidery is just SPLENDID! And I like the one you've stopped working on especially, it's different. It must be very enjoyable drawing with your sewing machine, and I always think, the less perfect looking it is with this particular type of sewing, the more charming it is. Love Vanessa xxx (do you mind if i knit)
ReplyDeleteThank you all, and yes Vanessa, it's great drawing with a sewing machine, except I can't go around corners yet, so no circles - damn!
ReplyDeleteLovely lovely lovely! - going to try drawing and writing with my sewing machine one day, but still mastering the art of the straight line (maybe I could experiment with cubist art?). See you soon over at twitter too - it's how I keep tabs on all my authors - woahahahahah ;0) Jen x
